TV and Monitor Lifespan

This page contains a small sample of Televisions and Monitors I have owned or had access to and when and why they failed.

Original Panasonic and Sony televisions including the first generation of LCD/LED televisions where every component was made by the same company were exceptional often lasting 20 years or more.

Modern TVs made after 2020 are not lasting as long as they used to. In my opinion a TV should last 15 years for them to offer good value, given straight line depreciation.
